PE and Sports Premium

At Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, we are passionate about sport and physical activity, recognising its vital role in supporting children’s health, wellbeing and personal development. Led by Mr Shuker, our dedicated team provides a wide range of opportunities for pupils to enjoy and excel in sport as part of our enriching curriculum.

Within school, children experience a broad and balanced physical education programme, including dance, gymnastics, team games and outdoor adventurous activities. These opportunities encourage pupils to develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of being active.

Beyond the curriculum, we offer a varied programme of extracurricular clubs throughout the year, such as football, netball, athletics, indoor athletics, cricket and multi-sports, enabling all children to participate and thrive.

As part of our Stratford-upon-Avon cluster, we work closely with local primary schools to provide a range of inter-school competitions and events, including cross country, swimming galas and football and netball fixtures. These experiences foster teamwork, aspiration and a strong sense of community.

We make effective use of the Primary PE and Sport Premium to improve the quality of physical education, physical activity and sport across the school. Funding is used to develop staff expertise, provide high-quality resources, broaden the range of sporting opportunities available to pupils and increase participation in competitive sport. We are committed to ensuring that this provision is sustainable and has a long-term impact on pupils’ health, wellbeing and engagement in physical activity.

Across the school, staff actively promote physical education and encourage all pupils to lead healthy, balanced lifestyles, supporting them to grow as confident, active individuals.
