Spanish

At Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, Spanish is taught to all pupils as a vital and engaging part of the curriculum, enriching their educational experience and broadening their cultural horizons.

Learning Spanish provides pupils with essential communication and literacy skills, laying a strong foundation for future language learning. Through exploring vocabulary, grammar, and language structures, pupils develop linguistic confidence and deepen their understanding of how language works, making meaningful connections between Spanish and English.

Our curriculum fosters curiosity about the wider world and promotes respect for linguistic and cultural diversity, reflecting our Christian values of care, aspiration, resilience and enjoyment.

By engaging with the rich traditions of Spanish-speaking countries, pupils gain an international perspective that enhances their understanding of their own culture and encourages open-mindedness.

Through regular, progressive, and enjoyable lessons, we aim to inspire all pupils to become confident communicators and lifelong learners, equipped to thrive in a multilingual and multicultural world.
